A family journey through Parisian elegance, history, and winter light

Paris Winter Journey

Moments to Remember in Paris

After days wrapped in calm lakes and alpine air, we felt ready for a change of rhythm. We wanted to step into a city known for love stories whispered along the streets, for art that lingers in museums and corners alike, and for history layered into everyday life.

So we continued our journey, leaving the quiet behind and heading toward Paris.

Day 1: Paris – A New Chapter Begins

We boarded a train and let it carry us toward something completely different. Five hours later, Paris welcomed us in the evening glow, busy, beautiful, and unmistakably alive.

We arrived close to nightfall, checked into our hotel, and stepped back out almost immediately. The streets felt louder, warmer, more animated than what we had left behind.

It was our first night in Paris, and even without seeing much, we could already feel it—this city would not be rushed. It asked to be wandered, paused with, and slowly understood. A new chapter had begun.

Day 2 – Eiffel Tower & The Heart Of Paris

Our first full day in Paris gave us more than just famous landmarks. From an unexpected act of kindness at the metro station to lunch above the city at the Eiffel Tower, the day unfolded through small moments we still remember vividly. We wandered through grand Parisian streets, watched the city glow after sunset, and ended the night completely exhausted — but already knowing Paris had left a mark on us.

Day 3 – Musée de l'Armée

Day 3 in Paris brought a quieter kind of experience. Inside the grand halls of Musée de l’Armée, we wandered through stories of war, ambition, sacrifice, and history that felt far more human than anything we had learned from books. Beneath the golden dome where Napoleon Bonaparte rests, the atmosphere felt solemn, powerful, and unexpectedly emotional.

Day 4 – Arc De Triomphe & Louvre

Day 4 became one of the most unforgettable days of our entire Paris journey. From standing above the city at the Arc de Triomphe to wandering through the endless halls of the Louvre Museum, it felt like stepping through layers of history, art, power, and beauty all in a single day. Seeing the Mona Lisa in person, admiring centuries, old masterpieces, and standing before Napoleon’s royal jewellery collection made this a day we will never forget.

Day 5 – Farewell, Paris

Our Paris journey came to an end far too quickly.

As we made our way to the airport through the quiet morning streets of Paris, the feeling was bittersweet. Just a few days earlier, the city had still felt unfamiliar to us. Now, somehow, it already felt difficult to leave behind.

Over five days, we had wandered through grand museums, stood beneath historic monuments, admired artworks we had only seen in books, and shared countless small family moments in between. From snowy mountain views in Switzerland to the glowing streets of Paris, this journey became one we knew we would remember for a very long time.

But honestly, five days in Paris felt far too short. There was still so much we wanted to see, so many streets left unexplored, cafés we never stepped into, and corners of France we never had enough time to discover. The trip only made us more curious about this beautiful country and its history.

As the plane lifted into the sky, I already knew this wouldn’t be our last visit to France. One day, we hope to return again, not only to revisit Paris, but to explore more of France slowly, beyond the landmarks, and create new memories together once more.
