A Gentle Morning
We spent the morning on a slow and relaxing walk around Munich. Our daughter had a great time at the playground near our boarding house, laughing on the swings while we enjoyed the crisp winter air. From there, we wandered toward Königsplatz, stopping for a few photos among the grand historic buildings.
Winter Market Treats
As we continued, we passed a small Christmas market, already filled with warm lights and the smell of baked treats. We couldn’t resist stopping for a quick bite, trying fresh Baumstriezel and a few simple snacks that somehow tasted even better in the cold.
English Garden and Eisbach River
Later, we made our way to the English Garden, one of Europe’s largest city parks. Even in winter, it felt calm and open. At the Eisbach River, we watched surfers ride the icy current, an unexpected and fascinating sight that made us pause for a while.
A Quiet Ending
We slowly made our way back as the day came to an end, passing through quiet streets and softly lit buildings. It was a simple day, filled with small moments, warm snacks, and the comfort of being together, a gentle pause in the middle of our journey.
This day is part of our Germany Winter Journey. You can read the full story here.
