The Best Short Getaway We Didn't Want to Leave
Some trips are packed with famous attractions and busy itineraries. Others are simply enjoying the moment, and spending quality time with the people you love. Our recent stay at PARKROYAL Langkawi in June 2026 was exactly that.
From the stunning sea views and exceptional service to the spotless room and relaxing atmosphere, everything came together perfectly. By the end of our stay, none of us wanted to go home.
Getting There from Singapore
We took a direct flight from Singapore to Langkawi, which took just over an hour. After landing at Langkawi International Airport, the transfer to PARKROYAL Langkawi was around 30 minutes, making the journey surprisingly smooth and stress-free.
In less than half a day, we had gone from the city skyline of Singapore to a tropical beachfront paradise.
First Impressions
The view was what made us fall in love with the resort.
Whether we were having breakfast, swimming, or simply relaxing in our room, the ocean was always there. The scenery looked different throughout the day, from bright sunny mornings to beautifully lit evenings.

A Room That Passed My Cleanliness Test
I pay a lot of attention to cleanliness when staying in hotels, so I tend to notice even the small details.
From the moment we stepped into the room, everything felt spotless and well cared for. Housekeeping did a wonderful job throughout our stay, with the room serviced both morning and afternoon.
As someone who can be a little picky about cleanliness, I was genuinely impressed.
The Private Pool Was Worth Every Dollar
Our private pool quickly became our favourite place in the resort. Our daughter would jump straight into the water while we relaxed nearby, enjoying the ocean beautiful view.
Looking back, we probably spent more time in our private pool than anywhere else in the resort. With views like these, it was hard to leave.
From Breakfast to Sunset Dinners
We also enjoyed the food throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a variety of local, Asian, and Western options, while dinner at Lancava was a pleasant experience with good food and a lovely atmosphere. After a day spent swimming and relaxing in our private pool, we ordered room service one evening and enjoyed a quiet dinner overlooking the sea. It was a simple but enjoyable way to end the day.
Beach Walks and Beautiful Views
We also enjoyed taking slow walks around the resort. Some mornings were spent strolling along the beach, while other times we wandered up to the Sky Garden to enjoy the views. From there, we could see the sea, the nearby islands, and even spot a few birds around the resort. It was a peaceful place to take photos, enjoy the breeze, and spend a little time away from the pool.
